Hakkodo is one of the cafes in Yanaka Ginza shopping mall where we Tokyo Backstreets Bike Tour usually visit on our bike tour.
They daily sell Onigiri, rice balls, but also they serve tiny Kakigori, shaved ices. only in summer time.
They use vinegar or “Shiokoji”, salted rice malt for their shaved ices.
We tried a vinegar one with honey ginger.
It is said that vinegar can recover form exhaustion, so that it is ideal for you when you are cycling.
